The Urban Ride first began in 2007 as part of the British Snowsports Tour. The competition which took place at several of the UK's top indoor and outdoor snowslopes was a great sucess and encouraged the team of Ride Freesport to include the Urban Ride to the Ride Freesport Event series.

The Ride Freesport Event series now includes a winter Freestyle event in Verbier - www.verbierride.com, Europes only summer freestly event on the glacier in Saas-Fee - www.saasfeeride.com, an autumn city event at the Metro Ski and Snowboard Show at Olympia in London - www.thelondonride.com, and now the urban tour taking part at several of the UKs top slopes - www.theurbanride.com.

The Urban Ride 08 is a qualifier for the London Ride 08 giving a chance to up and coming and pro UK riders to compete against the world's best and the Metro Ski & Snowboard Show in London. Watch this space to watch the UKs talent throw down their best tricks for this chance.
